I just got back from one of the best real estate events I’ve been to in a few years. MLS Reset is a new conference put on by Presta and Giant Steps Advisors — two of the newer consulting shops in the MLS space. The firms are newer, but of course, we know them as Chris Bennett, Amy Gorce, and Greg Robertson (and teams). You can’t get any more respected insiders in the MLS industry than those three. And they put on a great event. Truly wonderful.

I was pleased and honored to make my return to speaking at the event, and perhaps I will reprise the presentation for VIP members later.

I wanted to write this because I walked away from the day and a half event truly feeling for the first time that there has been a sea change in the very structure of the industry. Things really done changed. The mainstream industry press has not yet noticed, but they will.

I do not pretend that what follows is any kind of evidence. It is not a study, or a survey. It is merely my impression from watching, listening, and from off-the-record conversations with some of the biggest leaders in the industry’s backbone: the MLS.
