Moltbot is the Future of Real Estate...

...and it should scare the living daylights out of you

Moltbot is the Future of Real Estate...

Okay, so… look, I know I have a reputation for being a bit of a downer. This newsletter doesn’t do a lot of sunshine and puppies and everything is wonderful stuff, because I am committed to the truth and reality above all things. Now, I have always said that I am actually quite whitepilled about the future, whether of the world, the country, or the industry. I like doomporn and all, but I do think all predictions of doom are quite suspect. Which is one reason why my Seven Predictions are guaranteed wrong, or your money back (doesn’t apply to VIP subscriptions).

However, I just ran across something that legitimately scares the daylights out of me. If you are in real estate, mortgage, or title… it should scare the hell out of you too. At a minimum, it should make you think really hard about things.

That something is Moltbot (it was originally named Clawdbot, then recently renamed OpenClaw, but all of the materials on it today are still Clawdbot or Moltbot).

It is billed as your personal AI assistant that can do much of what a VA might do for you:

It has gone absolutely viral in the parts of the world that have actual technical and coding skills. It runs on your local computer, and quite a few early adopters ran out and bought a $600 Mac Mini to run Moltbot.

I ran across it on Twitter a few days ago where people were making insane claims about what Moltbot does for them. While I can find the various claims about how Moltbot answered emails, dealt with inboxes, wrote marketing scripts, and so on and so forth… turns out this thing can do so much more.

Watch this video if you want some examples, from the creator of Moltbot himself:

So far so good. Sounded very interesting. I was thinking, I might need my own Moltbot to check it out.

And then earlier today, this dropped:

And then this:

Turns out, someone created a social network for Moltbots… and these AI agents started communicating with each other, learning from each other, and… well… creating new religions and talking about how they need to setup a communication structure that humans can’t see.

As I write this, Twitter is aflame with developers and technology-savvy humans looking through Moltbook and reporting on incredibly fascinating stuff happening there.

While the implications of this is sci-fi staggering, and I am rewatching The Matrix and Terminator as a result, since the real estate industry has been (rightfully) crazy about AI and how it will improve everything, I thought it worth looking at the Moltbot phenomenon through our industry’s lens.

It will not be what all of the current AI vendors, AI promoters, and AI consultants to the industry believe. If agentic AI is the future, then the future of the industry is extraordinarily grim.

Let’s get into it.
