Brief Reaction to Compass v. NWMLS

Over the weekend, the industry did another one of its “OMG! LAWSUIT!” deals because Compass sued Northwest MLS, the broker-owned MLS covering most of Washington state.

I’m sure you’ve all seen the media coverage of it.

I’ve gotten numerous inquiries about my take on this, both from you all and from the press. I’m afraid I have very little to add, even after reading through the Complaint.

But… I do owe you, my readers, my take. So here it is. It’s going to be brief, and perhaps not all that illuminating. Then again, maybe it is. You tell me.
